Import of diskgroup:
Importing
a disk group reenables access to the disk group.
When
you import a disk group, you can:
- Specify a new disk group name
- Clear host locks
- Import as temporary
- Force an import
“Enable access to (import) a disk group”
vxdg import:
Syntax: #vxdg
import <dg_name>
# vxdg import testdg
After importing
the disk group, start all volumes:
# vxvol -g localdg startall
# vxprint -th netbackup_vol

To Import and rename
the diskgroup name
Syntax:
#vxdg –n <dg_name_new> import
<dg_name_old>
testdev# vxdg -n
testdg import testdg
To Import and
rename temporarily:
Syntax: #
vxdg –t –n new_name import old_name
# vxdg –t –n
newerdg import newdg
To clear import
locks, add the –C option:
# vxdg –tC –n newerdg import
newdg
