Removing Filesystem & Free Up Luns
Use the following Veritas commands to remove
required subdisks from each volume and hence shrink the associated filesystem
# vxresize -F vxfs -g sasproddg
spdsdata09vol -204776960b sasprod89
Remove the disks from the sasproddg Disk Group: (approx 5
minutes)
# vxdg -g sasproddg rmdisk sasprod89
Uninitialize the disks from a Veritas perspective (approx 5
minutes)
# vxdiskunsetup –C GENESIS2_1
Remove
disks from Veritas config (approx 5 minutes)
# vxdisk rm GENESIS2_1
Delete the underlying O/S devices for these disks (2 paths per
disk) (approx 10 minutes):
# rmdev -dl hdisk339 -R
